KraussMaffei Berstorff presents state-of-the-art technology in tire production
After this year's TireExpo had closed its gates on 20 February 2018, about 100 guests attended the plant tour at the Hannover premises of KraussMaffei Berstorff in order to gather in-depth information about technologies and innovative machinery for the tire industry. It was the third edition of the after-fair event organized by KraussMaffei Berstorff.
Customers and interested guests used this unique platform for enlightening discussions with experts and industry colleagues and to take a closer look at cost-effective production solutions. "We attach prior importance to the personal discussion with our customers as it offers an ideal opportunity to get extensive information on their specific requirements and expectations and enables us to offer truly customized solutions," says Uwe Wagner, Head of the Rubber Division at KraussMaffei Berstorff.
Cost-effective recycling of production scrap
In addition to various extrusion lines for different tire components, the plant tour was focussed on the live demonstration of the CRS 1000 CompoundRework System. This system processes large-volume rubber residues removed from the flow channels as well as start-up scrap to produce sheets or strips with a thickness of 8 mm. The residual material can thus be returned to 100% into the production process
ChemChina bundles sales and service activities
After the demonstration of innovative technical solutions, Cai Ting, General Manager of China Chemical Equipment Co., LTD. (CNCE) – a subsidiary of the Chinese owner of the KraussMaffei Group – provided current information about the foundation of the new Rubber Machinery Sales Service Center (SSC). The SSC participated for the first time in the TireExpo 2018 representing the brands Guilin Rubber Machinery Co., Ltd. (manufacturer of tire presses for passenger car and truck tires), Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (producer of internal mixers) and Sino Rubber Machinery (manufacturer of presses for passenger car tires). The opening of the sales and service center managed by Uwe Wagner enables close cooperation between the sales and service teams, which provides optimum conditions for efficient customer support.
"The coordination of the sales structure offers decisive benefits for our customers. The personal customer contact can draw on the extensive tire technology know-how so that customers can rely on receiving optimum solutions for their specific requirements," says Uwe Wagner.
