Spies Packaging honored for 100 NETSTAL machines

Spies Packaging is among Europe's leading manufacturers of innovative plastic packaging. Its "The FUTURE Art of Packaging" event was held at the Gesmold location in June 2019. It was the perfect opportunity to thank the company for a total of 100 supplied NETSTAL injection molding machines.

"We are linked with Spies Packaging through a cooperative partnership that has spanned many years. A total of 100 supplied Netstal machines. That makes me very proud and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude," said Renzo Davatz, CEO of KraussMaffei HighPerformance AG, at the onset of his speech at the Spies Packaging event in Gesmold.

To KraussMaffei, Spies is much more than simply a customer who purchases NETSTAL machines on a regular basis. "A passion for thin-wall packaging has connected us with Spies for decades. As an innovative customer and partner, Spies has often helped us with new developments and contributed to our innovations," Davatz emphasized.

State-of-the-art technology combined with top service and reliability

For more than 50 years, Spies has manufactured thin-wall plastic packaging for the food industry in Germany. Spies offers its customers the total package: from development and design, prototypes and mold making to series production and logistics. With more than 450 employees and more than 120 automated injection molding systems in three locations, the company has the capacity to reliably take over the series production of big customers. At the same time, SPIES is flexible enough to optimally respond to individual requests. "Spies has earned an excellent reputation in the packaging world through its competence as system supplier and its reliability," said Christof Spies, managing partner of Spies Kunststoffe GmbH.

Ceremony marking the occasion of the 100th NETSTAL machine at Spies

In the spring of 2019, an ELIOS 7500 became the 100th NETSTAL high-performance injection molding machine commissioned at Spies. As part of its "The Future Art of Packaging" event, the machine – in the form of a glass model – was ceremoniously handed over to Spies again as 150 guests applauded.
