Fit for the future in Laatzen

A modern and sustainable site
After two years of construction, KraussMaffei Extrusion GmbH has moved into a new larger plant. This means that the Laatzen site near Hanover will in future be the center of KraussMaffei extrusion and recycling technology. The new site covers 97,000 square meters, 53,000 m² of which are occupied by halls and office complexes.
The heart of the new company headquarters in Laatzen is the Customer Experience Center. It allows customers and partners to experience the wide range of KraussMaffei technologies and applications live. Demanding and complex extrusion applications can be tested here on up to 26 running lines under realistic production conditions.
Optimized production according to Industry 4.0
In the new building, KraussMaffei is consistently gearing its production to Industry 4.0. In Laatzen, a smart factory is being built with continuously networked production, data processing in real time, visualized processes and data
evaluations. Furthermore, the arrangement of ultra-modern machine tools can sustainably increase efficiency in production and reduce throughput times for the manufacture of extrusion components.
